A safe environment is a primary need for people with memory impairment. Our secured unit allows those with Alzheimer's Disease and other dementias to roam freely throughout the unit, and even outside in our secured courtyard, without running the risk of becoming lost. Physically attractive facilities and grounds provide a pleasing setting with an atmosphere of comfort and familiarity. Activities keep the residents occupied in meaningful ways and are geared toward preserving independence and quality of life. We are well staffed with individuals specially trained in caring for the memory impaired, and have an RN on call 24 hours a day. Services are customized based on professional assessment of each resident's needs, and modified as those needs change. Family members are encouraged to take part in making a plan of care, and have an open invitation to all activities. We strive to help those with memory impairment feel at home, not just at Fallbrook Woods, but also in the world.
